What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity to join the catering team in the role of Food and Beverage Projects Manager. The customer whether match-day or non-matchday at Southampton FC is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to achieve best in class. The development of the Food and Beverage offer, at the stadium is a key driver in making the overall matchday and hospitality experience at St Mary’s a positive one. This key person will bring together the offer in retail, hospitality & bars as well as drive the infrastructure in various departments to ensure we are lean, efficient and agile financially in our operations.


What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who is responsible, professional and motivating in order to effectively manage a set of skilled supervisors. You will be required to maintain constant communication with Halo Management, Purchasing and Suppliers as well as attend operation meetings. We are looking for someone with a creative flare as you will be encouraged to create and implement new ideas on products and services to subsequently improve the visitor experience.

 The competencies which are required include:

 Essential Experience:

  • Experience of leading stadium/F and B projects, managing a cross-functional team and gaining collaboration and support
  • Experience in the development and management of budget and timeline deliverables
  • Experience in developing a business case and selling them to senior stakeholders
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • To be able to identify revenue streams for improvement
  • Experience of stock management and management system’s

 Desirable Experience:

  • Leadership in developing strategies and executing against roadmaps to drive change.
  • Knowledge of football club match day catering operations

 Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

  • NEBOSH, IOSHH trained or similar

 Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Project certificate in build and completion

  • A willingness to work variable hours.
  • Ability to work on match day and travel to visit other entertainment venues
